Admin - not providing author /posting status after add

Hello Kinja/gawker help,

I added user gtcl over on this thread on oppositelock. Multiple times after the first one didn't "take". He is still added but not there. And says he doesn't have the ability to post to oppositelock or choose it from his available blogs.

Any thoughts? Is this a known issue? I've added hundreds of others and never encountered this issue.

I've had it a couple times, usually because they just changed their screen name.

I think. Excel broke when I copied the list over, but it resized the cells, so I found the end of them, at 1223, I think.

I've been working with excel professionally for more than a decade. I know far too much about excel/VBA and office objects.

When there is metadata or links or formatting it tries to carry it over and model it in excel. It gets ugly.

Hey GC - I saw this once yesterday, thought it was a one off. Thanks for reporting, looks like a wider issue than I originally thought. We're looking into it now, I'll let you know once its straightened out.

Whoa... it looks like you had to do some work with the tables (The original order of the list has been changed, makes me think that some slightly more aggressive approach had to occur). Was there an odd limit that we hit? Or was it just something that an unexpected result of some seemingly unrelated update?

(you don't actually have to answer, and if it would be disadvantageous for you to do so, I would expect that I'll get a "we resolved the issue, and that's really all I can say, let us know if it reoccurs". I'm just curious from a massive database resolution issue perspective).

Pretty sure it was an unexpected result, no doubt magnified by the massive army of authors Oppo has.
